Slowly Squishzine Brunstown volumes 2 and 3 are coming to life. With work from past and present members of Squishface Comics Studio these two volumes contain both hilarious and heartfelt pieces set within the Brunswick locale.
Thanks to everyone who supported the Pozible campaign and respect to Ben Hutchings, Jess Parker and the Squishface crew for putting everything together.
I had a great time at All Star Comics with Ben Hutchings, Matt Emery and the wonderful Milk Shadow crew. Thanks to the team at All Star comics for their space, time and hospitality.
I'm slowly learning how it feels to sell in different environments. One measure is that of my anxiety levels. The Festival of the Photocopier was great if a little overwhelming. I loved meeting so many talented and inspiring cartoonists there that I had only previously talked to online. I also loved the many amazing zines I picked up and the beautiful, little cactus I got from Zoe Boyd.
In this regard All Star was perfect. It was a bit more intimate and easier to talk to customers, possible future cartoonists to publish and even the odd fan.
The next event will be Homecooked where I will have the second issue of Tree Paper and a fine selection of A3 posters like those below. This issue will contain work by Rebecca Sheedy, Georgina Chadderton, Kayla Oliver, myself and a couple more. It was a fantastic event last year and I hope to see you there.
